2008 President's Message
John Lee

As we enter into 2008 and the Year of the Rat, the Chinese Real Estate Association of America (CREAA) celebrates its 30th anniversary! We not only have survived as an organization, but continue to grow, make an impact in the local real estate community, and are beginning to make inroads on the national level!

An uncertain market faces the real estate industry this year -  the financial markets have been in turmoil, the country might be heading into a mild recession, foreclosure rates have increased tremendously, and sales activities have dropped precipitously. We, as agents, must adjust to the market and learn to counsel buyers and sellers better if we want to thrive in this business.

My main goal for CREAA this year is to look within our organization and develop structures and systems to insure future growth. We have empowered a strategic planning committee to devise a three and five- year plan on how and where to position CREAA within organized real estate and how to best attract and service our members.

This year, CREAA will provide opportunities for our members to network and learn from each other through the four planned mixer and social events. The four educational seminars will provide the tools to stay ahead of the market place. Our industry networking will enhance our image and help to promote homeownership opportunities.

We are exploring some exciting ideas and have setup various committees to work on different aspects on how to make CREAA better and are constantly looking for more members to serve. So if you are interested in joining us in our journey, please contact one of our leaders and we will make sure that you are plugged into an area that meets your interest.

Thank you for your support of CREAA and I look forward to an exciting year serving and working with you in 2008!

Sincerely,

John M. Lee, MBA
